A-DVICE partner meeting and workshop in Oslo

All the partners in the project were represented when we arranged a project workshop in Oslo in November 2023.

2.-3. November the A-DVICE team got together in a physical meeting for the first time. In a cold and snowy Oslo, we had a two-day workshop arranged at NIVA’s offices at Hasle.

A-DVICE team members Salar Valinia, Isabel Seifert-Dähnn, Laura Wendling, Maria Dubovik, Elvira Borgman, Line Johanne Barkved, Ingvild Skumlien Furuseth, Amalie Engelbrecht Hansen, Hafdís Hanna Ægisdóttir, Ida Sandberg, Louise Quistgaard and Caroline Enge participated in the meeting in Oslo.

The first day we started by introducing ourselves and looking at what we have done in the project so far. The A-DVICE project is organised so that the different partners (Ensucon, NIVA, Norion, VTT, University of Iceland) have responsibility for a specific task in the project, in addition to accessing knowledge and expertise in their Nordic country.

It was therefore a good opportunity to update each other on the development in the different work packages and tasks. Everyone contributed with presentations and good discussions.

We also went on a mini excursion to the reopened stream Hovinbekken and Teglverksdammen, even if the weather conditions were not the best.

Teglsverken is a part of the reopened stream Hovinbekken in Oslo.

The coordinator of the Nordic NBS programme, Jóna Ólavsdóttir, visited to meet everyone and present the programme. Leonard Sandin, who is leading A-DVICE’s “sister project” GuideNBS participated online to present the work that is happening there.

The second day we also spent time on some group exercises where the team members envisioned how the policy advice handbook may be structured and design. This is something we will continue to work on in the next months, and we look forward to testing the first draft in the new year.

Leonard Sandin (NINA) and Jóna Ólavsdóttir (coordinator for the Nordic NCM programme) visited the workshop.
