The A-DVICE project got many useful inputs during the Nordic policy workshop in May.
To create a policy handbook with advice to implement, mainstream and upscale nature-based solutions in the Nordics, the A-DVICE project relies on inputs from the potential users of the handbook.
Stakeholder consultations
In addition to building on previous projects in the Nordic NBS programme and other experience within the project team, A-DVICE will consult key stakeholders on gaps and barriers, enablers and success stories, as well as potentials for synergies and policy development.

On 7. May 2024 we were able to gather policy makers, practitioners and experts on local, regional and national levels across sectors and Nordic countries in a digital workshop.
In total, 50 persons (including A-DVICE researchers) attended the workshop. In addition to general presentations of the project and findings, we had two group sessions.
Group discussions for feedback and learning
The first part was a group presentation divided by countries with group discussions in national languages. In the second part, groups were divided by topics and interests, such as urban NBS, local governance, coastal ecosystems, and so on, to be able to discuss across countries and sectors.

The aim of these discussions were both to provide feedback and input to the project and guiding the handbook development, as well as providing a platform for Nordic stakeholders to discuss and learn from each other.
The output was gathered in notes and padlets that has given the project a lot of interesting feedback to build on. We are now working to incorporate all the findings, feedback and examples that came up in the handbook into our handbook that will be published in November.
